Previously known as HLTAID007 Provide advanced resuscitation, HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy is the newest version of this course. The new curriculum has been put together with health specialists who need oxygen therapy education to perform their job duties in mind.
HLTAID015 is not for beginners. It’s an advanced course, and you’ll need a fair amount of first aid experience before enrolling in this class. Anyone planning to register must first complete an HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course, as the material covered and abilities learnt in HLTAID011 will be needed in HLTAID015.

Training Requirements
In order to qualify for the HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy training course, you must meet the following standards:
- You must be at least 14 years old. If you’re under 18, you’ll need a signed consent form from a parent or guardian before attending the class.
- You must have a certificate from an accredited provider who is a registered RTO of the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course.
- Have or be willing to get a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number
- Comply with all Covid-19 safety measures and protocols currently in place
- The course requires physical activity, particularly the CPR element. To partake, you must be able to:
- Perform at least two minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on an adult manikin placed on the floor
- Perform at least two minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on an infant resuscitation manikin placed on a firm surface
- Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) to deliver at least one shock

- An unconscious child who is not breathing (CPR)
- A casualty with blood loss of a life-threatening nature (tourniquet, haemostatic dressing)
