IS THERE A FIRST AID CERTIFICATE EXPIRY DATE?

At First Aid Pro Canberra we get asked this question a lot! Your First Aid certificate does not expire, but it does need to be refreshed at regular intervals. This ensures that you have the most up-to-date information and that you are adhering to regular intervals to ensure the information is current and reflects best practice!

So, if you have completed a CPR First Aid course once many years ago, it is time to come back and get a first aid refresher course in first aid or CPR certification, now you can update your CPR certification by attending a CPR refresher course!

We are excited to announce that we now offer CPR certification online courses.

That is right! You can now complete your online CPR First Aid training and assessment, gaining the same quality education in less time. That means you will only have to spend 1 hour in the classroom for face-to-face practical assessment if you complete some tasks ahead.

Keep in mind that if you experience any coronavirus symptoms, you should take a COVID-19 test at your nearest clinic.

WORKPLACE FIRST AID CERTIFICATE EXPIRY DATE

A workplace first aider is someone who has completed a First Aid Certificate to act as the designated First Aider in the workplace. These people are always prepared to save lives and are willing to do whatever it takes. But there are guidelines regulated by the first aid workplace code of practice to be adhered to.

A First Aider is someone who has successfully completed a nationally recognised training course or an equivalent level of training that has given them a statement of attainment required to administer First Aid or CPR.

If you have completed the first aid course for the workplace, it must be renewed every three years to stay current, according to the safe work code of practice and the Australian resuscitation council (ARC). First Aid Pro offers you three different delivery modes for you to choose from, Express, Blended, or Face–to–Face training and Assessment.

Why do CPR certificates need to be renewed more often?

Once you learn about CPR, the first aid trainer will demonstrate how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

CPR is a life-saving technique that uses chest compressions and resuscitation to keep a patient alive. In the event of an emergency, you need to know how to do this for yourself or someone else.

Do not waste time! Our CPR courses are designed to be informative and fun, so that you can join a fast-paced class and learn the skills you need in a short amount of time.

It is time to renew your CPR qualifications. To keep your skills and knowledge up to date, make sure you renew them every 12 months, as recommended by the Australian resuscitation council (ARC).

First Aid DRSABCD

DRSABCD is a first aid pro-lifesaver. It’s a vital aid in assessing whether a patient has any life-threatening conditions and if any immediate first aid is necessary.

Danger:

In an emergency, you should try to protect yourself. You can help others by staying safe and strong. Be brave, take risks and find a solution to the problem.

Response:

Waiting for a response when you touch or shake someone in a situation, do you get results?

Send for Help:

Look for the triple zero (000). Make sure you answer the operator’s questions.

Airway:

If the victim’s breathing has improved, their airways are fine, but if not, lie down and check their face to see if all airways are normal. The airways are involved in the response and are involved in breathing and resistance factors.

Breathing:

It is clear from chest movements that he is breathing. There are two types of this, one is to provide a response and the other is to keep breathing.

CPR:

This involves placing the heel of one hand on the chest and the other at a distance. In this case, certain measures must be taken to ensure that breathing can resume. CPR is a unique feature in first aid courses.

Defibrillator:

Administer an automated external defibrillator (AED) for an unconscious and not breathing adult. An AED is an electric shock machine that cancels irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) so that the heart can return to normal. These machines can be used very simply.
